Greece’s Stam Shipping

Greece’s Stam Shipping appears to have sold its last remaining bulk carrier for recycling.

Cash buyer Best Oasis reported that the 2001-built Alba I has gone to Bangladesh for an undisclosed price tag.

Stam bought the 74,800 dwt panamax as Fortune Trader for a reported price of $9.3m in October last year. The ship’s scrap value is around $7.15m, according to online pricing platform VesselsValue, and also Stam’s only owned unit.

2010-built general cargo ship Nodus

In addition to Alba I, ship register Equasis lists the 2010-built general cargo ship Nodus in the company’s fleet.

The Stamaris Sarris-led outfit arrived on the Greek shipping scene in 2009, splashing over $60m on three handysize bulkers and later adding five more ships, all of which have since been sold.
