RWE and Stanwell Corporation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to embark on two significant onshore wind projects in Queensland, with a combined capacity of up to 1.8 gigawatts (GW). This partnership signals a major step towards achieving the state’s renewable energy goals.

A Renewable Powerhouse

One of the projects covered by the MoU is the Theodore Wind Farm, a venture of up to 1,100 megawatts (MW) in development near Biloela. This wind farm is expected to generate clean electricity for 410,000 homes and create hundreds of jobs during construction and operation, supporting Queensland’s transition to clean energy.
