ISO 37301 and ISO 37001
Certified to ISO 37301 and ISO 37001, SHI has become the first company in the shipbuilding industry to obtain the integrated certifications.
This achievement highlights Samsung Heavy Industries’ commitment to global standards in compliance management and anti-corruption efforts.
Enhancing credibility in compliance and embedding culture of compliance, the company’s ESG management has been further strengthened.
Samsung Heavy Industries(SHI) has received integrated international certifications for “Compliance Management System (ISO 37301)” and “Prevention, Detection and Response to Bribery (ISO 37001)” from Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance(LRQA). The certification award ceremony was held on Tuesday with the participation of Jung Jin-taek, CEO of SHI and Lee Il-hyung, CEO of LRQA at Samsung Heavy Industries’ Pangyo R&D Center.
The ISO 37301 and 37001, established by the International Organization for Standardization, rigorously assess a company’s systematic management of compliance and anti-corruption measures. Improvement in compliance programs
Furthermore, since 2019, Samsung Heavy Industries has consistently improved its compliance programs through external expert organizations. The company has gone the extra mile by providing compliance training to all its employees, tailored to their positions and responsibilities.
Jung Jin-taek, the CEO of Samsung Heavy Industries, expressed his satisfaction with the achievement, stating, “This integrated certification acknowledges the international recognition of Samsung Heavy Industries’ efforts and capabilities in compliance and ethical management.” He added, “We will continue to enhance trust in compliance in compliance for our clients and stakeholders, solidify a global standard compliance management culture, and strengthen our commitment to ESG management.”
