Safety Certification

The NYK Group’s Hokuyo Kaiun received ISO certifications (ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018) for its crew transport vessel (CTV) in the offshore wind industry’s safety management system (SMS).

This recognition, combining Hokuyo Kaiun’s experience operating the CTV Rera As and NYK’s expertise, ensures compliance with international safety standards.

With this certification, Hokuyo Kaiun, primarily operating towing vessels in Japan, can now manage CTVs at a higher safety level using an SMS aligned with global standards. The achievement underscores their commitment to safety in offshore wind operations.
