DOF Group Secures Contracts For Asian Vessels
DOF Group has secured contracts for two construction and subsea support vessels in Asia, keeping them employed during 2024 and beyond
Prime Energy Resources Development has extended the contract for DOF’s multipurpose subsea support vessel Skandi Hawk to the end of 2027 for work on the Malampaya gas field in the Philippines.
This 2012-built, STX PSV 09 design vessel has been initially supporting operations at the field for Shell and then Prime Energy since April 2015.
Skandi Hawk Contract Extension Details
Under the contract extension, DOF will provide project management, engineering services, subsea inspection, repair and maintenance services, and Skandi Hawk from February 2024 until 31 December 2027.
“This is a substantial contract extension with an estimated value of more than US$60M,” said DOF Group chief executive Mons Aase.
“It builds on the successful partnership between our team in Asia Pacific, Prime Energy, and the Malampaya field since production commenced. We look forward to continuing to support Prime Energy in the future.”
Asia Pacific Deployment
Another of DOF’s construction support vessels, Skandi Hercules, will be well utilized in the Asia Pacific region during 2024 following the award of new charters. DOF secured three subsea service contracts from Australia-based energy producers for this 2010-built, STX AH 04 clean design vessel.
Skandi Hercules will be deployed for six months in 2024 and into Q1 2025. DOF’s contracted scope includes project management and engineering, logistics support and executing remediation activities, pre-commissioning and commissioning support, and field decommissioning operations.
“These awards secure substantial backlog for the APAC region with an estimated combined value of over US$36M,” said Mr Aase.
