MSC Cruises Cancels April Trips

MSC Cruises has canceled three April trips from South Africa and the United Arab Emirates to Europe, citing the Red Sea crisis. The company prioritizes safety, with the ships transferring directly to Europe without passengers to avoid the Red Sea.

Global Impact Considered Minor

Despite thousands of affected passengers, the global impact on cruise operators is expected to be minimal. Todd Elliott, CEO of Cruise Vacation Outlet, highlights that this disruption represents a small part of the overall fleet and multi-year itineraries for cruise operators.

Costa Cruises Maintains Routes

Italy’s Costa Cruises reassures that their routes remain unchanged, with only two cruises in March and April potentially affected by the Red Sea situation. The impacted cruises include the last leg of a round-the-world trip.

Carnival Prioritizes Safety

Carnival emphasizes its commitment to safety, with its global security team working closely with experts and governments. They expressed readiness to adjust itineraries if needed, reflecting the industry’s collective effort to navigate challenges posed by the Red Sea crisis.
