W.E.C. (West European Container) Lines B.V. is undergoing an official name change to WEC Lines B.V., operating under the trade name WEC Lines, and discarding the dots and vessel logomark.
“We are currently shifting from being a pure feeder carrier to a door-to-door intra-European carrier with East African deep sea activities. This rebranding exercise underlines our dedication and commitment to meeting client demand and preparing for the future,” stated Caesar Luikenaar, managing director of WEC Lines.
The company’s decision to rebrand stems from its desire to project a more contemporary and inclusive image.
Broadening intermodal connections
According to a statement, while WEC Lines remains fundamentally a shipping line, they are increasingly broadening intermodal connections directly linked to their vessel network. Therefore, they have decided to remove the vessel logomark from the company logo, which has been a staple for many years.
