Indian Register of Shipping (IRS), a prominent classification society renowned for its dedication to maritime safety, quality, and innovation, has embarked on a momentous journey as it enters its 50th year of operation. Commencing its year-long jubilations on the auspicious occasion of its foundation day, 4 April, the IRS revealed a slew of initiatives to commemorate its illustrious half-century journey.
50th Anniversary Logo
The celebrations start with the debut of the IRS’ 50th anniversary commemorative logo. The logo symbolizes progress, honoring the organization’s illustrious history while embracing the future. A compass and collaborative motifs are embedded in the logo, evoking movement and progress and reflecting the IRS’s evolution over the past five decades.
New Strapline
IRS also launched its new strapline, “Powered by Passion. Driven by Values.” This statement reflects the organization’s pursuit of excellence. While passion drives every endeavor, integrity, honesty, and respect serve as the IRS’s foundational pillars.
The introduction of the IRS’ new flag, symbolizing the organization’s commitment to global maritime interests, adds to the celebrations. Furthermore, the IRS also released a teaser video that offers a glimpse of its upcoming corporate video.
