Silver Ray Sets Sail: Luxury Cruising With Silversea

103

  • Silversea Cruises marks its 30th year with the launch of the Silver Ray, their latest vessel in the Nova Class.
  • This 728-guest ship offers an unparalleled level of luxury and comfort, setting sail for its maiden voyage this weekend.

Mediterranean First, Americas Bound Later

The Silver Ray will kick off its journey in the Mediterranean, cruising through popular destinations before repositioning to the Americas in December. The inaugural voyage departs Lisbon, Portugal, on Saturday, with stops in Spain, France, and Monaco before concluding in Civitavecchia, Italy.

Spacious Suites and Breathtaking Views

Similar to its sister ship, Silver Nova, Silver Ray boasts a unique asymmetrical design. The off-center pool allows guests to soak in the sun and ocean vistas like never before. Expansive ocean views are further enhanced by the vessel’s nearly 43,000 square feet of exterior glass.

Introducing New Suite Categories

The Silver Ray introduces two new suite categories:

  • Master Suite: Offering spacious layouts ranging from 720 to 830 square feet, these corner suites at the ship’s aft provide exceptional ocean views. A two-bedroom Master Suite configuration is also available.
  • Signature Suite: These luxurious suites boast 700 square feet of space, including a 172-square-foot balcony, along with dedicated dining and living areas.

Exquisite Culinary Experiences

Guests on board Silver Ray can indulge in the exclusive S.A.L.T. Chef’s Table, a culinary experience featuring regional specialties paired with fine wines and cocktails. This distinctive restaurant is currently only available on Silver Nova and Silver Ray.

Luxury Comes at a Price

The cost of cruising on Silver Ray varies depending on the chosen sailing date, room category, and other factors. As an example, an 11-day cruise from Venice to Athens starts at $7,750 per person (double occupancy) for the essential fare, which includes food and beverages (champagne and premium spirits included) but excludes shore excursions. Travelers seeking a more inclusive experience can opt for the port-to-port fare with shore excursions (starting at $8,400) or the door-to-door option with airfare and transfers (starting at $10,200).
