Overview of Weekly Composite Index
The Ningbo Containerized Freight Index (NCFI), compiled by the Ningbo Shipping Exchange and promoted by the Baltic Exchange, provides a snapshot of shipping rates for 20ft, 40ft, and Hi Cube containers. This index is reported every Friday at 16:00 (Beijing), except during Chinese holidays.
Index Values and Weekly Changes
For the week of August 2, 2024, the index values and weekly changes are as follows:
- Ningbo – Europe: 3505.84 (down 1.85% from 3572.01)
- Ningbo – West Mediterranean: 3117.13 (down 2.01% from 3181.07)
- Ningbo – East Mediterranean: 2381.37 (down 2.22% from 2435.51)
- Ningbo – Middle East: 1778.22 (up 5.83% from 1680.19)
