Recent additions to COSCO Shipping fleet highlight COSCO Shipping commitment to energy efficiency, environmental protection, and advanced technology. COSCO Shipping is proud to introduce two newly named vessels: the GREEN ITAJAI and the CL JINGDEZHEN.
World’s Largest Pulp Vessel
On July 25, the GREEN ITAJAI, a 77,000 DWT multipurpose pulp vessel, was officially named in Dalian. This vessel, along with its sister ships, holds the title of the largest pulp vessel globally, measuring 225.0 meters in length and 32.26 meters in width with a 14.5-meter draft when fully loaded. With a capacity of 88,600 m³, GREEN ITAJAI is designed to be energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. It features a temperature monitoring and alert system to ensure optimal operation. The vessel’s maiden voyage will take it from China to South America.
Advanced Panamax Bulk Carrier
On July 31, COSCO Shipping welcomed the CL JINGDEZHEN to COSCO Shipping dry bulk fleet. Constructed by COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Yangzhou), this 82,000 DWT Panamax bulk carrier spans 229 meters in length, with a width of 32.26 meters and a depth of 20.35 meters. Designed for a speed of 13.5 knots, the CL JINGDEZHEN is named after the city of Jingdezhen, renowned for its porcelain industry. The bulk carrier boasts advanced features, including intelligence, green technology, environmental protection, and energy conservation.
