Dynacom Expands Fleet With Four New Oil Tankers From New Times Shipbuilding

According to iMarine, Greek shipowner Dynacom, part of George Procopiou’s shipping group, has ordered four 295,000 DWT oil tankers from New Times Shipbuilding. This strategic move aims to expand its operations across crude oil, bulk, and LNG shipping sectors.

Key Specifications of the New Tanker

The new oil tanker boasts an overall length of 332.95 meters, a beam of 60 meters, and a deadweight tonnage of 299,240MT. With a high-efficiency Tier III-compliant engine, the vessel is designed to meet nitrogen oxide emission standards, while achieving a speed of 14.5 knots.

Engine Technology and Environmental Compliance

Equipped with a 6G80ME-C10.6-Tier III main engine, the tanker utilizes HPSCR technology to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions. This state-of-the-art technology ensures the vessel adheres to global environmental standards while maintaining optimal performance.

Expansion of Procopiou’s Global Fleet

George Procopiou, owner of Sea Traders S.A., Dynacom Tankers, and Dynagas Ltd., operates a fleet of over 170 vessels. This latest addition supports his strategy of providing comprehensive shipping services across dry bulk, crude oil, and LNG sectors.
