Globus Maritime Limited (NASDAQ: GLBS), a dry bulk shipping company, has announced the delivery of the M/V “Glbs Magic,” a newly built Ultramax dry bulk carrier with a capacity of approximately 64,000 DWT. The vessel was constructed by Nantong COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co., Ltd., and was delivered on September 20, 2024.

Fleet Expansion and Market Strategy

This latest acquisition marks the third Ultramax vessel delivered to Globus this year. With the addition of the M/V “Glbs Magic,” Globus Maritime’s fleet now totals eight dry bulk carriers, boosting the company’s total carrying capacity to approximately 571,313 DWT. The fleet’s average age is 7.1 years, reflecting Globus’ strategy to modernize its shipping assets.

With this addition, Globus continues to expand its presence in the global dry bulk market. The company operates a fleet of eight vessels, transporting key commodities such as iron ore, coal, and grain. As of September 2024, the average age of the fleet is 7.1 years.
