A cargo ship ran aground in a narrow sea passage between Skye and the Highland mainland, reports BBC.
At 01:00, HM Coastguard was notified about the incident at Kyle Rhea, and lifeboats were deployed from Kyle and Portree. Additionally, a coastguard rescue team was dispatched.
The 88m-long ship was later floated again and is currently anchored in Glenelg Bay. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Both a coastguard tug and a commercial tug have been placed on stand-by at the location.
