Singapore Shipping Association Welcomes New Executive Director

The Singapore Shipping Association (SSA) has appointed Mr. Loh Chun How as its new Executive Director, starting on November 18, 2024. Mr. Loh has over 25 years of experience in the maritime and logistics industries, both domestically and internationally. His expertise covers various aspects of the supply chain, including liner shipping, oil tanker operations, ship agencies, and 3PL/forwarding services. With his extensive knowledge, Mr. Loh will bring a valuable perspective to his new position at the SSA, reports the Singapore Shipping Association. 

A Veteran Figure

With a global outlook gained through his 17 years of overseas experience in key markets, Mr Loh has successfully navigated complex environments and built robust international partnerships, earning him recognition as a global leader in the maritime industry. His deep insights into the industry’s challenges and opportunities will enable SSA to effectively engage with its key stakeholders and collaborate closely with government agencies to further promote the interests of its members.

Mr Loh shared, “I am thrilled to be joining the Singapore Shipping Association at such an exciting time for the maritime industry as it advances the decarbonization and digitalization agenda. SSA’s mission to serve and promote the interests of its members, while advancing Singapore’s status as a premier International Maritime Centre, aligns perfectly with my passion for fostering growth and innovation in the sector. Together with the dedicated team at the SSA Secretariat office, I look forward to driving initiatives that will not only support our members but also strengthen Singapore’s position on the global maritime stage.”
