APM Terminals Strengthens Leadership Team With Key Appointments

APM Terminals has made two key appointments. Steven Yoogalingam will become the Managing Director of Port of Salalah, while Keld Mosgaard Christensen will take on the role of Managing Director at Suez Canal Container Terminal (SCCT). Both appointments will be effective from November 1, 2024, reports APM Terminals.

International Experience 

Yoogalingam comes to Salalah after having been Managing Director of the Suez Canal Container Terminal, Port Said Egypt. Before this, he worked with APM Terminals in Aqaba Container Terminal, Jordan, and Port of Tanjung Pelepas, Malaysia. Yoogalingam previously had international experience working with ports in Jebel Ali, Dubai, and Busan, South Korea. A Malaysian national, Yoogalingam graduated with a bachelor’s degree in law from King’s College London and has completed several executive management programs with APM Terminals.

Transitioning To Corporate World 

Christensen comes to SCCT directly from his position as Managing Director of the Port of Salalah, Oman. Before his time in Oman, he worked with APM Terminals in Poti, Georgia, and at APM Terminals headquarters in The Hague, the Netherlands. With a Masters in Law from the University of Aarhus, Christensen began his career with the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, rising to Consul General before transitioning to the corporate world.
