Cargo Ship that Ran Aground Due to Gusty Winds Off Luebeck was Refloated
On June 1, 2016, strong winds pushed a cargo vessel LENE D out of the fairway resulting in it getting stuck on sandy bottom, while leaving Luebeck.
Later in the day the vessel was refloated with the help of tug boats and taken back to Luebeck for a survey of the hull by divers.
On the same day the ship resumed its voyage to Szczecin after getting all necessary clearances.
