Record Year for Ship Deliveries

This delivery marks Guangzhou Shipyard International’s 22nd vessel of the year, with the company meeting its annual delivery goal two months ahead of schedule, marking its best performance in a decade.

Since the start of 2024, Guangzhou Shipyard International has delivered a range of vessels, including 16,000 TEU container ships, dual-fuel car carriers, and 50,000-ton product oil tankers, cementing its position in the high-end shipbuilding market.

Increased Efficiency in Car Carrier Production

The company delivered eight car carriers this year, with four delivered in September alone. By refining its design and construction processes, Guangzhou Shipyard has reduced build times, putting car carrier production into fast lane mode.

Notably, the LNG dual-fuel car carrier Ganjiangkou was delivered 223 days ahead of the contracted timeline. It set a new record for early car carrier delivery at Guangzhou Shipyard.

Advances in High-End Ship R&D

Guangzhou Shipyard International has achieved significant milestones this year in developing high-end ships. The independent R&D resulted in several advancements in ship design and performance.

On October 24, Guangzhou Shipyard delivered the GNV Polaris, a 1,500-passenger ro-ro ship with a 3,100-meter lane capacity.

The company independently developed and designed this luxury vessel. It marked a milestone in high-end, locally-produced ro-ro shipbuilding.

High Localization Rate in GNV Polaris

With fully localized interior materials and a high localization rate for supporting equipment, GNV Polaris represents Guangzhou Shipyard’s achievement of intellectual property independence in high-end shipbuilding.

As the company continues to accelerate production, the early deliveries and diverse vessel portfolio suggest a growing international market presence. It was driven by the demand for efficient and advanced ship designs.
