IMO Secretary-General Receives Credentials Of Saudi Representative

During a meeting on the sidelines of the 133rd International Maritime Organization (IMO) Council session, Vice Minister of Transport and Logistic Services and acting President of the Saudi Transport General Authority Dr. Rumaih bin Mohammed Al-Rumaih oversaw the credential presentation of Eng. Kamal bin Mohammed Al-Junaidi as the permanent representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the IMO, based in London, reports spa.gov.

Meeting

 The meeting with IMO Secretary-General Arsenio Dominguez focused on ways to strengthen cooperation in the maritime sector, including promoting marine environmental sustainability, protecting and supporting seafarers, and enhancing their training.

 The representative will participate in the organisation’s meetings with other entities, strengthen Saudi Arabia’s presence in international forums, and highlight its role and efforts to develop the maritime transport industry and international trade.
