On November 27, 2024, GTT announced that it has been awarded an order from its partner, the Korean shipyard Samsung Heavy Industries, for the tank design of a new liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier, reports GTT.
Vessel Details
The LNG carrier’s total capacity will be 174,000 m³, and GTT’s state-of-the-art Mark III Flex containment system will be onboard. This containment system is known for its efficiency and reliability in the storage and transportation of LNG.
Delivery Schedule
Based on standard delivery timelines for projects of this size and scope, the LNG carrier’s delivery date is expected to be in the second quarter of 2027.
