Sembcorp Industries has signed a Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with the Singapore branch of Chevron to import up to 0.6 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) annually. The deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2028 and are expected to last for 10 years, reports Marine Link.
Adding Value to Sembcorp’s LNG Portfolio
This deal will add value to Sembcorp’s existing natural gas supply portfolio, which already includes diversified sources of piped and liquefied natural gas from all corners of the globe.
Commitment to Energy Stability
As a key importer of natural gas for Singapore, Sembcorp renewed its commitment to supplying the country with a stable and resilient energy supply.
Financial Impact
“The signing of the SPA is in the ordinary course of business and is not expected to have a material impact on the earnings per share,” Sembcorp said.
