- South Korean carrier HMM has re-entered the transatlantic trade market with its Transatlantic 1 (TA1) service in partnership with Ocean Network Express (ONE).
- Alongside its transatlantic expansion, HMM has launched the India North Europe Express (INX) service.
- Both services are part of the Premier Alliance, which includes ONE and Yang Ming, aiming to strengthen HMM’s network and support India’s growing international trade.
HMM has returned to transatlantic trade after six years and announced a new India-Northern Europe route, enhancing its global shipping network with strategic partnerships, reports Lloyd’s List.
HMM Returns to Transatlantic Trade with TA1 Service
After a six-year hiatus, HMM is back in transatlantic trade with its new TA1 service, connecting ports in Northern Europe, the US West Coast, and Latin America in partnership with ONE.
Weekly Transatlantic Coverage
The TA1 service includes stops at ports like Southampton, Rotterdam, Miami, Los Angeles, and Oakland.
It operates on a 10-week rotation to ensure weekly coverage.
Strengthening India-Europe Trade with INX
HMM’s India North Europe Express (INX) will provide weekly connections between Western India and Northern Europe, using 6,000 TEU ships, starting from Karachi on February 5, 2025.
Collaboration Under the Premier Alliance
The TA1 and INX services are part of the Premier Alliance, including ONE and Yang Ming.
It reflects HMM’s focus on expanding and diversifying its offerings to cater to global trade demands.
