Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) and FueLNG Private Limited marked a significant achievement by completing their 300th LNG bunkering operation, further solidifying their commitment to sustainable shipping.
EPS’s Lake Shirasagi, the newest Pure Car and Truck Carrier (PCTC) in its fleet, successfully received 1,628 cubic meters of LNG from FueLNG’s bunker vessel, FueLNG Venosa, at the Raffles Reserve Anchorage in Singapore.
A Joint Milestone for Decarbonization
Capt. Suraj Sundaresan, General Manager (Operations) at EPS, expressed pride in this achievement:
“Reaching our 300th LNG bunkering milestone, alongside FueLNG’s 300th LNG ship-to-ship bunkering in Singapore, is a testament to the progress we are making together towards sustainable shipping. This achievement highlights the collaboration and trust among key stakeholders, reinforcing our collective commitment to the industry’s decarbonisation. We are proud to celebrate this shared milestone with FueLNG in a year of record-breaking progress.”
Sustainability in Numbers
- Cumulative LNG Bunkered by EPS: Over 1,624,143 cubic meters since the first operation four years ago.
- Net Zero Commitment: EPS continues to demonstrate accountability by supporting cleaner energy solutions, reaffirming its role in driving maritime decarbonization.
Significance for the Industry
This milestone underscores the growing adoption of LNG as a cleaner marine fuel, which reduces greenhouse gas emissions and contributes to the shipping industry’s transition to a sustainable future. The partnership between EPS and FueLNG exemplifies the collaborative effort needed to achieve these environmental goals.
As both companies continue to break records, they set an example for the maritime sector to embrace innovative, low-emission energy solutions, paving the way toward a net-zero future.
