SEFE Securing Energy for Europe and Höegh Evi have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish international supply chains for clean hydrogen, advancing Germany’s energy transition goals. The collaboration will focus on delivering hydrogen via floating import terminals, supporting decarbonization across Germany and Europe.

Key Objectives

1. Establishing Supply Chains:
   • Sourcing clean hydrogen based on ammonia.
   • Transporting ammonia by ship.
   • Cracking ammonia into hydrogen at floating import terminals for industrial use.
2. Infrastructure Development:
   • Höegh Evi will provide midstream infrastructure, including floating ammonia-to-hydrogen terminals along Germany’s Baltic and North Sea coasts and other European locations.
   • SEFE will handle upstream and downstream operations, including global sourcing, aggregation of hydrogen demand, and investment in Germany’s hydrogen core grid through its subsidiary GASCADE.

• Höegh Evi will deploy the world’s first floating terminal capable of industrial-scale ammonia-to-hydrogen conversion.
