A.P. Moller–Maersk and Singapore-based furniture brand Castlery have signed a 10-year logistics service agreement, reinforcing their strategic partnership. With Castlery’s ambitious global expansion plans, Maersk will provide a comprehensive logistics solution to streamline supply chain operations, ensuring efficiency, resilience, and sustainability, reports Maersk.
End-to-End Logistics for Seamless Growth
As Castlery enters new markets, Maersk’s integrated logistics services will be crucial in handling ocean freight, intermodal transportation, and warehousing. The goal is to enhance supply chain efficiency while ensuring customers receive their furniture swiftly and reliably.
“Scaling a brand globally requires more than just great products – it demands a logistics network that is agile, efficient, and future-ready,” said Declan Ee, Co-founder of Castlery.
Optimised Supply Chain with the Gemini Network
Maersk’s Gemini Cooperation network will improve reliability and lead times for Castlery, allowing for leaner inventory and better cost efficiencies. With this long-term agreement, Castlery benefits from an agile logistics strategy that adapts to market demands.
Elaine Low, Area Managing Director, Southeast Asia, Maersk, emphasized, “We have worked hard to create an integrated one-stop logistics service model that unlocks value across Castlery’s supply chain.”
Commitment to Sustainable Logistics
Beyond logistics, sustainability is a shared priority for both companies. Castlery is already using Maersk’s Eco Delivery solutions, incorporating electric trucking and low-carbon ocean freight to minimize its environmental impact.
This aligns with both companies’ efforts to reduce carbon emissions, ensuring long-term sustainability in global logistics.
