EUROGATE Container Terminal Hamburg GmbH has placed an order for 15 Hybrid Konecranes Noell Straddle Carriers, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable and efficient operations. Booked at the end of 2024, these units will be delivered by July 2026, featuring a cutting-edge modular design that allows easy retrofitting of power options for reduced fossil fuel reliance, according to Konecranes.

As one of Europe’s largest container terminal operators, the EUROGATE Group handles over 12 million TEUs annually across nine locations in Europe and Africa. Over the past 25 years, it has deployed several hundred Konecranes Noell Straddle Carriers, demonstrating continued trust in Konecranes’ reliability and innovation.

The new straddle carriers mark a significant step towards greener port operations. Their advanced modularity simplifies the transition to battery-electric or hydrogen-powered drives, eliminating the need for extensive rebuilds.
