The American Club’s “Good Catch” initiative emphasizes proactive safety measures for seafarers, aiming to identify and address potential hazards before they result in harm. A recent focus is on the “Combustible Zone,” highlighting the risks associated with combustible materials, open fire doors, and fuel or oil leaks that can swiftly escalate into fire hazards, jeopardizing crew safety and vessel integrity.
To assist in recognizing and mitigating these dangers, the American Club has introduced animated images titled “The Combustible Zone.” These animations, available in English, New Mandarin, and Traditional Mandarin, serve as educational tools to reinforce the importance of identifying hazards and eliminating potential fire sources through sound engineering practices.
