Gdansk’s Baltic Hub T3 Reaches Milestone with Equipment And Safety Upgrades

16

Baltic Hub in Gdansk has finished installing all necessary equipment for the main quay of its new T3 container terminal, including the complete STS (Ship-to-Shore) crane track, reports Container News.

Improved Safety

Most of the protective structures are up, and they’re still working on safety equipment, lights, and edge details. The Port of Gdansk Authority believes these updates will improve safety and how things work for ships and people.

The crane support structures are being built in several areas, needing careful work, while they also work on bases for containers and walkways that can handle refrigerated containers. They’ve made good progress on the rail system, with setting, welding, drilling, anchoring, and priming to make it strong and dependable.

The old breakwater is gone, making room for new building. Buildings and tanks are finished, which are important for getting the port ready to go.
