The award recognizes the engine’s cutting-edge design, eco-friendly sustainability, and efficient carbon-free technology, reinforcing Hyundai’s leadership in next-generation marine engines.
Leading the Global Mid-Sized Engine Market
The HiMSEN-Zero Engine is part of the HiMSEN series, developed by HD Hyundai Heavy Industries in 2000. The series holds the No. 1 market share in the global mid-sized engine segment, highlighting its dominance in the industry. In 2024, the engine was also recognized as one of the Top 10 Machinery Technologies of the Year in Korea by the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy.
