Key Initiatives Under the MOU

Establishment of the ABS Singapore Maritime Safety Centre

A state-of-the-art facility to provide immersive training for seafarers and maritime professionals.

Aligns with MPA’s Maritime Energy Training Facility (METF).

ABS is investing USD$4.5 million, creating new employment opportunities in the region.

The Centre will employ virtual reality and game-based training to simulate realistic maritime scenarios.

Training will focus on the safe handling of alternative fuels like ammonia and methanol.
