The 13,000 DWT chemical tanker “SHAN TONG” was successfully launched at Zhoushan Ningxing Shipbuilding and Repair Co., Ltd. in China. Built for CSIC-IMC Shipping (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., the vessel was surveyed under the supervision of the China Classification Society (CCS) Zhoushan office.

“SHAN TONG” is constructed with duplex stainless steel, offering excellent corrosion resistance and strength for chemical cargoes. The CCS Zhoushan team provided full technical support, helping the shipyard overcome welding challenges and adhere to the strict construction timeline.
