TGE Marine is collaborating with RMK Marine on the construction of the ‘Celsius,’ an LNG bunker vessel with a capacity of 7800 m³. This project, which began in the summer of 2024, marks a significant milestone for TGE Marine, as it is their first vessel being built in Turkey. The vessel will feature TGE Marine’s advanced Type C Bi-lobe tanks, capable of handling high-pressure and cryogenic gases, ensuring safe and efficient LNG transport and bunkering operations.
Key Figures and Stakeholder Insights
Johannes Dziuba, TGE Marine’s Technical Sales Director, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, emphasizing the importance of the project and the company’s prior successful collaborations with RMK Marine. He highlighted that this LNG bunker vessel will support the growing demand for LNG-fueled vessels in the Baltic Sea and Kattegat Sea regions.
Jonas Backman from Sirius Shipping praised the ongoing relationship with TGE Marine, noting the success of their previous collaboration on the ‘Coralius’ vessel. He sees the continued partnership as a testament to their vision of becoming the long-term first choice for clients and suppliers.
Jakob Nielsen, TGE Marine’s Sales Director, also shared excitement about the project, stating that it strengthens the company’s relationships with Sirius, Gasum, and RMK Marine. He noted that this collaboration would play a pivotal role in supporting the rapidly growing LNG-fueled shipping fleet in Europe.
