A quay crane that was just delivered toppled over on June 15 while being positioned at a non-operational berth in Tuas Port. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in this incident, reports The Straits Times.

No Impact on Nearby Facilities

Following the incident, a thorough assessment was conducted on the nearby equipment and port infrastructure. Authorities confirmed that there was no damage to any surrounding facilities.

Operations and Development Unaffected

Even with the crane’s collapse, all active berths at the port are still fully operational. The ongoing development work at the port site is continuing without any interruptions.

Cause of Incident Under Investigation

Authorities have initiated an investigation to find out what caused the crane to tip over during its delivery.
