Navios Maritime Partners has taken delivery of a newly built Aframax/LR2 product tanker, further strengthening its presence in the energy transport sector. The vessel, named Navios Altair, has a deadweight tonnage of approximately 115,800 dwt and features advanced energy-saving systems including Framo pumping technology, reports Shipping Telegraph.
Built to modern standards, the ship supports Navios’ strategy of operating fuel-efficient, environmentally aligned vessels. Navios Altair is the sixth delivery in a broader series of sixteen similar vessels, forming a key part of the company’s long-term fleet development plan. The program aims to increase capacity and operational flexibility while keeping pace with global expectations around sustainability and performance.
