Crowley Stena Marine Solutions, a collaboration between Crowley and Stena Bulk, has just received the green light from the U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD) to operate the CS Anthem tanker as part of the Tanker Security Program, reports Crowley.
Vessel Joins Crowley-Managed Fleet
The CS Anthem is a U.S.-flagged medium-range tanker, weighing in at 49,990 metric tons, and is crewed and managed by Crowley under a bareboat charter through this joint venture. It will now be part of the Crowley-managed fleet alongside the Stena Imperative and Stena Impeccable, taking over from the Stena Immaculate.

With this program, the CS Anthem and its dedicated crew will play a vital role in supporting MARAD’s mission to ensure that fuel transport is always ready for the U.S. Department of Defence, while also bolstering the nation’s strategic sealift capabilities.
