AD Ports Group has begun rolling out Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite services across its global fleet and terminals. This milestone marks a significant leap in the company’s digital transformation strategy, enabling high-speed, low-latency communications and enhancing operational efficiency.
Enhancing Fleet and Terminal Operations
The deployment equips several of AD Ports Group’s 270 vessels with advanced connectivity, with terminals to follow. The service enables real-time vessel tracking, predictive maintenance, dynamic route optimization, and automated cargo monitoring. According to Mohamed Jamal-Eddine, Group CIO, LEO connectivity ensures seamless operations in remote areas, optimized fuel use, and stronger supply chain visibility and control.
Expanding Global Reach and Smarter Port Management
The initiative covers AD Ports Group’s network of 34 terminals spanning Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Central, and Southwest Asia. It will support smarter port operations, enhance emergency response coordination, and ensure continuous communications, even in difficult environments. This aligns with the company’s commitment to digital innovation and sustainability.
By integrating LEO satellite technology, AD Ports Group strengthens its position as a leader in connected maritime and logistics infrastructure. The move highlights its focus on future-ready solutions, ensuring resilience, efficiency, and sustainability in global trade.
