New Times Shipbuilding Launches Two 8,100 TEU Vessels For MSC

Recently, New Times Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. marked another major milestone by launching two 8,100 TEU container ships, MSC Senegal and MSC Uganda, at its Jiangsu Province shipyard in China. This achievement reinforces the shipyard’s standing as one of the world’s top shipbuilders, consistently ranking among the top three in annual capacity.

Strategic Shipyard Capabilities

Located in Xingang Industrial Park, Jingjiang City, New Times benefits from excellent water and land transport access, making it a prime hub for large-scale shipbuilding. The shipyard spans 1.6 million square meters with a 3,200-meter shoreline and assets worth around RMB 20 billion. With three drydocks, three outfitting jetties, and a workforce of about 3,200, the facility has the capacity to deliver up to 5 million DWT annually, producing vessels ranging between 100,000 and 300,000 tonnes.
