  • Shore Power Orders Strengthen Cavotec’s Position in Sustainable Maritime Solutions.

Cavotec has just inked two more orders totalling EUR 9.35 million with a prominent global container shipping company. These orders are all about shore power systems for both new and existing container vessels, reports Cavotec.

Order for Retrofitting Existing Vessels

The first order, which comes in at EUR 5.55 million, focuses on retrofitting Cavotec’s shore power systems on a significant number of existing vessels. This work will take place while the vessels are operating across Asia, the US, and Europe, with deliveries kicking off this year and continuing through to the end of 2026.

Order for Newly Built Vessels

The second order, valued at EUR 3.8 million, adds to the EUR 8.1 million contract that was announced back in May. This one is for shore power systems for newly built container vessels, with deliveries set to start in the latter half of 2026.

Environmental and Regulatory Benefits

Cavotec’s shore power solutions play a crucial role in cutting emissions by allowing vessels to plug into shore power while docked, helping them meet international environmental regulations.

CEO Statement on Strategic Partnership

“These significant orders from one of the world’s leading container shipping companies underline our strong position in the shore power market. They also demonstrate the customer’s confidence in our technology and our ability to deliver sustainable solutions to the maritime sector,” said David Pagels, CEO of Cavotec. “The orders also strengthen the long-term partnership between us and this globally leading container shipping company.”
