The Ningbo Shipping Exchange, in collaboration with the Baltic Exchange, has released the latest Ningbo Containerised Freight Index (NCFI) for the week ending 7 November 2025.

The weekly composite index, which tracks freight rates for 20ft, 40ft, and Hi-Cube containers across key trade routes, reflected mixed movements across the four major corridors connecting Ningbo to Europe, the Mediterranean, and the Middle East.

Route 07 Nov 2025 31 Oct 2025 Weekly Change (%)
Ningbo – Europe 911.73 965.62 -5.58%
Ningbo – West Mediterranean 1,238.28 1,249.08 -0.86%
Ningbo – East Mediterranean 995.87 982.71 +1.34%
Ningbo – Middle East 1,339.81 1,198.68 +11.77%

The Middle East route saw the most notable increase this week, rising 11.77% to 1,339.81 points, buoyed by strong demand and tightening vessel availability ahead of the year-end season.

Conversely, the Europe route declined 5.58% to 911.73 points, reflecting weaker booking activity and stable capacity levels on major westbound lanes.
