The Ningbo Shipping Exchange, in collaboration with the Baltic Exchange, has released the latest Ningbo Containerised Freight Index (NCFI) for the week ending 7 November 2025.
The weekly composite index, which tracks freight rates for 20ft, 40ft, and Hi-Cube containers across key trade routes, reflected mixed movements across the four major corridors connecting Ningbo to Europe, the Mediterranean, and the Middle East.
| Route | 07 Nov 2025 | 31 Oct 2025 | Weekly Change (%) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ningbo – Europe | 911.73 | 965.62 | -5.58% |
| Ningbo – West Mediterranean | 1,238.28 | 1,249.08 | -0.86% |
| Ningbo – East Mediterranean | 995.87 | 982.71 | +1.34% |
| Ningbo – Middle East | 1,339.81 | 1,198.68 | +11.77% |
The Middle East route saw the most notable increase this week, rising 11.77% to 1,339.81 points, buoyed by strong demand and tightening vessel availability ahead of the year-end season.
Conversely, the Europe route declined 5.58% to 911.73 points, reflecting weaker booking activity and stable capacity levels on major westbound lanes.
