The Transport General Authority, in collaboration with the International Maritime Organisation and Bahri, has kicked off the “NextWave Seafarers (NWS)” pilot program for 2025–2026. A cohort of 17 male and female cadets has officially joined the program, embarking on a six-month adventure that blends hands-on shipboard experience with educational modules to equip them for careers in the maritime sector.
