Everllence has achieved a major commercial milestone with its newly developed 35/44DF CD GenSet, securing 138 orders within just seven months of completing its Type Approval Test (TAT) at STX headquarters in Changwon in April 2025. With strong interest from several major shipping companies, the first unit is scheduled for delivery in May 2026.

Strong Market Response Driven by Performance and Sustainability

Everllence’s Vice President and Head of Licensing, Four-Stroke Marine & License, Sephardim Koblenz, attributes the surge in orders to the GenSet’s innovative and sustainable design. The 35/44DF CD engine combines competitiveness with environmental responsibility, offering shipowners a low-emission, future-ready solution.

The dual-fuel engine is engineered to support a wide range of current and emerging maritime fuels, including biofuels, LNG, synthetic LNG, and methanol. This adaptability positions the GenSet as a versatile choice for operators preparing for long-term decarbonisation pathways.

Designed for Future GenSet Demands Through Industry Collaboration

Everllence emphasises that the development of the 35/44DF CD was guided heavily by customer input and evolving regulatory expectations. According to Manuel Zaharias, Promotion Manager – Four-Stroke License-Built Engines, the engine was shaped through close cooperation with STX Engine to ensure reliability, operational efficiency, and reduced environmental impact across various vessel types.

The company believes that the GenSet’s features, combined with its advanced engineering, will support shipowners in meeting both present and future power-generation requirements as the maritime sector accelerates its transition to cleaner energy.

With 138 orders already secured and the first delivery scheduled for mid-2026, the 35/44DF CD GenSet is emerging as a promising solution for shipowners seeking sustainable auxiliary power. Everllence’s focus on innovation, fuel flexibility, and collaboration with STX Engine highlights its commitment to helping the maritime industry navigate the path toward long-term decarbonisation.
