New time charter agreed for a Kamsarmax vessel

Diana Shipping Inc., a global owner and bareboat charterer of dry bulk vessels, has entered into a new time charter agreement through a wholly owned subsidiary, according to a company announcement dated December 19, 2025.
Time Charter Agreement
The company has fixed one of its Kamsarmax dry bulk vessels on a time charter with Paralos Shipping Pte. Ltd.. The contract carries a gross charter rate of US$13,500 per day, minus a 5.00% commission paid to third parties. The charter period runs from a minimum of December 20, 2026, to a maximum of February 20, 2027, and is expected to commence on January 1, 2026.
The vessel is currently employed under an existing charter, as previously announced, with Cargill International SA at a gross rate of US$13,000 per day, minus a 4.75% commission paid to third parties.
Vessel Details and Revenue
The Kamsarmax vessel has a deadweight tonnage of 82,117 and was built in 2010. The new employment is anticipated to generate approximately US$4.71 million in gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.
Fleet Overview
Diana Shipping Inc.’s fleet currently consists of 36 dry bulk vessels, including 4 Newcastlemax, 8 Capesize, 4 Post-Panamax, 6 Kamsarmax, 5 Panamax, and 9 Ultramax vessels. The company also expects to take delivery of two methanol dual fuel newbuilding Kamsarmax vessels in the second half of 2027 and the first half of 2028. Excluding the two vessels not yet delivered, the fleet has a combined carrying capacity of approximately 4.1 million dwt and a weighted average age of 12.07 years.
