Cargo Ship Ran Aground on the Parana River

On July 26, a Cargo Ship “MV AMADEUS” reportedly ran aground on the Parana River in Argentina.  The vessel was reportedly sailing upstream bound for San Nicolas port.

The vessel reportedly loaded with 39448 tons coal is enroute from Australia to Siderar Coal terminal.  NABSA reports vessel is obstructing navigation on the Parana River, the Coast Guard has closed the navigation channel.

Two tugboats, m.v. MADRUGADOR and m.v. VIBRADOR, reportedly started assisting the vessel.
