CMA CGM NAF Lines is set to resume a regular service from Barcelona to Djen Djen on EURONAF service with immediate effect.

The First Departure, m/v VEGA OMICRON voy. 001OGS ETS Barcelona is slated on 15th July, 2016, and ETA Djen Djen on July 19th, 2016.

It must be noted that CMA CGM was the first line to launch a container vessel into Djen Djen in October 2013.  This was in order to offer a solution without congestion to its customers used to import via Bejaia.

However, Bejaia has been facing a severe congestion (from 10 to 30 days waiting time for ships before getting a berth) for more than a month.  For some receivers, Djen Djen remains the better alternative to Bejaia.

The main advantages of Djen Djen port:

  • Congestion free
  • Ideal location: approx. 100 km (East direction) from Bejaia and road connections to Sétif, Constantine
  • Improved Transit Time compared to POD Oran
