Two Cruise Ship Passengers Arrested After a Violent Fight

On September 2, two cruise ship passengers were detained on the charges of involvement in a violent incident.

What happened?

Two cruise ship passengers, a 26 year old female and a 23 year old male were arrested on the charges of causing grievous injuries to a couple of local teenagers when the ship halted in Dockyard.

Two teenagers grievously injured:

A violent fight broke out between three passengers from the cruise ship ‘Norwegian Breakaway’ and two local teenagers over an alleged jewellery theft.

The two teenagers, aged 19 and 17 were taken to hospital with what police described as serious head and facial injuries.

A police spokesman said, “A 26-year-old female and 23-year-old male from the cruise ship have been arrested in connection with this matter.”

Video evidence crucial:

The incident was reportedly caught on camera in multiple videos that have been widely circulated on social media.

The police spokesman further added, “That footage will play a role in the investigation”.

He added that anyone with information that could help the inquiry should contact police.
