If You Like a Party, These are the Caribbean Cruises for You

2865

Irrespective of our personality, we can all enjoy a Caribbean cruise. Whether it’s Reggae, calypso, salsa, soca – whatever place you like to party, the Caribbean has a beat to match. Throw in a rum punch or three, and you can see why the region is famed for its nightlife. So here’s a coveted list of the most famous cruises found in Caribbean as per a report published in the Telegraph.

The Caribbean Nights

For cruisers hopping from island to island, the fun doesn’t stop back on board ship, where bars and clubs range from the rarefied to the raucous. Making the most of the balmy Caribbean nights, many lines hold sprawling, alfresco deck parties. The White Night Party on Azamara Club Cruises is an elegant affair with dinner and dancing under the stars. Disney Cruise Lines’ Pirates IN the Caribbean is a family-friendly event, with stunt performers rappelling from the ship’s funnel, Disney characters joining in the dancing and a spectacular finale of fireworks.

Norwegian Cruise Line

Norwegian Cruise Line themes many of its parties, from line dancing at Nashville Nights & Lights to urban Latin vibes at Caliente, and Princess Cruises nods to its heritage with a 1970s Love Boat Disco Deck Party.

Carnival Cruises

Carnival Cruises lives up to its ‘Choose Fun!’ tagline with a host of bars, including Alchemy, a vintage-themed cocktail ‘pharmacy’, where the mixologists will prescribe something to cure all your ills, and RedFrog Rum Bar, offering the quintessential Caribbean experience with rum punch and beers in a laidback, poolside spot.

Celebrity Cruises

For an evening that’s shaken, not stirred, try Celebrity Cruises’ Martini Bar, where the bartenders’ sleight of hand and the ice-topped bar combine to make it the coolest venue aboard. Stay with a classic martini or sample one of the more exotic creations, which include the Banana Split martini, with rum, banana schnapps and whipped cream.

Adult only themes

Disney may have a family focus, but parents can make the most of the some of the longest hours of childcare available at sea at a number of adult-only venues, including Skyline, where the virtual windows scroll through a range of iconic views. Why not choose a cocktail to match Paris, then Rio, then New York, then Hong Kong…

Royal Caribbean International brings innovations aplenty, with its infamous robot bartenders mixing drinks in the Bionic Bar. For a novel way to change decks – and not waste a moment’s party time – take a seat at the Rising Tide Bar, which doubles as a drinking hole and slow moving elevator between decks. Choose the floor that suits your mood, hopping off to head to the main nightclub, a jazz bar with live music, or On Air Club, a karaoke bar.

Pack your dancing shoes for an MSC cruise, where, in addition to the DJ spinning tunes at Garage Club and alfresco beats at South Beach Bar, there’s the Haven Lounge with a live party band, and a silent disco on every cruise.

Silent Disco Nights

NCL also offers silent disco nights, plus high-energy tunes in the Bliss Ultra Lounge, and Beatles cover bands and live performances in the Cavern Club, inspired by the iconic Liverpool venue.

Shore Excursions

Shore excursions can come with a party vibe too. Carnival Cruise Line has range, from a night at the legendary Tropicana Cabaret in Havana to a trip to Dunn’s River Falls in Jamaica on a catamaran with an open bar. If you want to experience local nightlife, look out for lines that offer late stays or overnights in port.

Overnight Stays

Celebrity Cruises includes overnights in destinations including Aruba, Curacao, St Maarten and Puerto Rico, and Azamara frequently features late stays in the likes of Barbados, St Lucia, St Maarten, Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao.

Small-ship, yacht-style cruises tend to offer more frequent overnights and late departures than the larger vessels, with more genteel, low-key nightlife on board. Guests on the all-suite, 62-guest Crystal Esprit can enjoy the open-air Sunset Bar or the Cove piano lounge on board, but will have the chance to immerse themselves in local nightlife with overnights or lates in St Martin, St Barths and the British Virgin Islands.

Late and overnight stays are one of the selling points of SeaDream Yacht Club itineraries. And when the 112-passenger yachts stay overnight in the British Virgin Islands, it’s an opportunity to experience the line’s signature Champagne & Caviar Splash. Standing waist-deep in the clear Caribbean waters, guests gather around surfboards loaded with bubbles and caviar, before heading off for a ‘painkiller’ punch at archetypal barefoot beach shack the Soggy Dollar Bar.
