A couple onboard a cruise ship discovered a hidden recording device in their stateroom on a Carnival Cruise ship.
What happened?
The couple Chris and Dana White say they were aboard the Carnival Fantasy out of Mobile for a 3-day Caribbean cruise in October 2017 when they noticed the device, which they say was hidden among TV wires and pointing at their bed.
Cruise management
The couple say they are speaking out now because they believe Carnival mishandled the situation.
At first, they say a company representative said the device was not a camera.
In a statement provided by the Doral-based Carnival Cruise Line said, “We performed a full investigation and acknowledge that a small video transmitter was found but that it was not connected to an electrical source and not capable of recording”.
Intrusion on privacy
The couple alleged that their privacy had been invaded due to the incident and demand a concrete answer from the ship’s management.
