On June 13, a 3-year-old girl riding the carnival cruise ship, falls through the railings on its deck off Galveston.
The Cruise ship returned to port in Galveston just hours after departure to take her to hospital.
The 3 year old girl and her family were taking photos by a section of railing when the girl somehow slipped through and fell from the 14th deck to the 12th deck. She nearly fell about 12 to 15 feet down to the 12th deck below. Following the fall the girl was rushed to the ship’s medical center for evaluation and the decision was made to return to port to get her to a hospital.
The toddler, whose name has not been released, was alert and stable when paramedics loaded her into an ambulance, the cruise line said.
There’s no word yet on the extent of the toddler’s injuries. Carnival Liberty has since resumed the cruise.
