Vassilios Kroustallis, ABS Senior Vice President of Global Business Development and Global Marine, emphasized ABS’s commitment to supporting the next-generation maritime industry through advanced vessel designs, fuels, infrastructure, digitalization, and decarbonization strategies. Kroustallis highlighted the need for shipping stakeholders to navigate cleaner fuels, energy efficiency retrofits, and data optimization to improve voyage performance amidst the global energy transition.

The ABS sustainability team provided updates on the latest capabilities and solutions to help clients reach net-zero carbon emissions. This includes energy efficiency technologies such as retrofits with lower friction coatings, carbon capture technologies, and the adoption of biofuels.
