As part of this action, ABS has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with India’s GRSE and Seatech as well as global leader Shift to help India in implementing its ambitious plan for becoming the ‘World’s Green Shipbuilding Center by 2030’. Through this cooperative effort, it hopes to pioneer the development of a major new vehicle type–the ‘E-VOLT 50,’ India’s first electric tug boat that will cut carbon emissions and serve as an example for performance requirements among its peers.

Revolutionizing Maritime Sustainability

E-VOLT 50 brings together GRSE’s shipbuilding knowledge, Seatech’s design creativity, Shift’s energy storage expertise and ABS ’ technical review and advisory services. This synergistic effect is hoped to remap maritime standards, leading directly into a cleaner and greener tomorrow while also safeguarding safety, dependability and conformance with standard prescriptions. This signals a turning point in maritime transformation, with its focus on performance, efficiency and environmental protection.
